Armand Huertaz joins YLAW with a diverse, local litigation practice. Having graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2011 with a degree in Political Science, and in 2015 from the University of New Mexico School of Law with his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Huertaz bleeds cherry and silver! While in law school, he twice competed in the National ABA Moot Court, received the CALI Award for Remedies, and the Dean’s Award for Significant Contribution to the Law School Community.
Mr. Huertaz has significant and specialized litigation experience in New Mexico. He has appeared in numerous venues and forums throughout the State including oral argument before the New Mexico Supreme Court. His experience includes the defense of insurance bad faith, construction defect, oil field, trucking, and employment cases as well as insurance coverage matters.
When not practicing law, Mr. Huertaz enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two daughters, and cheering for his Lobos, Cowboys, and Mariners.
